But there are other mysteries unfolding too. Keanu Reeves is perhaps more famous now than he’s ever been. His meta, internet humour along with the fact that he was in The Matrix has drawn people to him that would never have been down with movies like Speed or My Own Private Idaho. He’s also John Wick. How does this connect to The Matrix 4? In short, very intimately. The long answer’s gonna have to wait for the video.

Why does everyone think Neo died when it's the one thing we never saw? He may have done but given his existing link between both worlds it's not a given. The bright flash at the end was symbolic of the power from the machines being pumped through him I thought.

I think It's matrix in the matrix. I think that architecture (old man with white hair) is actually man who want to control all world and he did it with makeing matrix in which are all human sleeping except Neo, Zion…
And just Neo and them know that they are outside the matrix while others are dreaming. Maybe that architecture made a matrix that Zion think that they are safe but it's just one more illusion. For example Smith is program so it means that he can't come in real world but in matrix 3 he burned Neo eyes which means that this is just another illusion.

My guess: Neo is more than likely going to face the fact that only machines can sustain the earth we destroyed…at least for some time until the atmosphere is fixed. They do enough by not destroying us and using us to fix it is a purposeful reason to assume Neo would want to have a peaceful “life” and return to the matrix in a more purposeful way, becoming John wick. Morpheus will not budge on the anti robot movement, he’s in denial and won’t admit humans destroyed their right to the earth otherwise they’d be dead without robots having kept them alive. Morpheus will want to destroy robots, but it would destroy humans too…Neo kills Morpheus before plugging in for his last time.

Or Neo and Trinity never died. Remember Neo recieving the spoon from a friend? That was the boy telling Neo that he wasn't actually free. It was all just a deeper simulation. Maybe there wasn't even a Morpheus.

I like the theory that "the Real" is itself a simulation, making the Matrix a simulation within a simulation… the choice represented by Neo is an illusion, because no matter what happens in the Matrix, the overall simulation continues.

This is dumbest theory I have ever heard. Interweaving the 2 movies would make the 2 franchises unable to stand on their own. In other words, it would be financially ignorant because there could be no stand alone sequels.

There is 3 levels of MATRIX! the real world in the 3 movies its not really real one its just another layer of matrix! Constructor mentioned that finally he made ilusion of choice and hope, neo doing tricks in "real world", SPOON from first movie and also in second as a real one but both does not exist! Thats why Matrix 4 need to come in to solve this! There is no escape from Matrix!
